Nest Art Collective with Lora Bird

This week Elicia is chatting with Lora Bird, the owner and founder of Nest Art Collective. Nest is a queer owned trauma informed tattoo shop and art collective. Lora is a disrupter in her industry who saw how the typical tattoo culture not only treated clients but also fellow artists and set out to change that culture from the ground up.

They talk the importance of passion and why she went the extra mile to offer privacy in her shop. They go in depth on the challenges, blood, sweat, tears and shitty food of renovating your own space on a budget. She also talks about how when you are aligned with what you are doing you will attract your community.

You won’t want to miss the raw and slight humorous story about the final straw that made her think about quitting on opening Nest Art Collective. Her advice on how to decide whether to keep pushing or quit on an idea is great not only for business but also for your life.
